I do hate that we had to reset, im sorry about that but its the only easy way to keep track of powers.
as far as larval extract goes, for an outlands server, where it might be more readily available, maybe. but on crp, for the 4 or so years ive been here, ive never even heard of it mentioned in game. So I don't know. Maybe if producers started doing missions or people started posting auths for it I could change it, but at the moment I dont see that happening
Then maybe don't restrict the powers in an already dead whitelist js.
(Speaking of, this is supposed to be a species whitelist not a faction whitelist. Restricting shit to rank like MPF is dumb)

The larval extract isn't meant to be used much at all.
Powers would only be listed in there for it when/if it is ever used for some reason.

I do agree this does need a bit of rework, like I said this is a learning experience for me too. Stand by while I do some typing.
Powers are fine.
Just set these ones to ones that can only be used w/ larval extract.
Vorts can use all other powers:
Visual Projection
Short Distance Teleportation
Revival
Long Distance Teleportation

Personally I feel that If you feel that the vortigaunts are too weak in the current state or do not have enough powers. Then you should take potencial changes to Suggestions and get it looked over by the whole community.
Already did that before when Cassio was lead. Even had it in the suggestion to not change the powers w/ every lead.
That didn't stick.

made some slight changes to the "how do I learn abilities" section. Also gonna clean up the tread in a bit.
Keep in mind you can post changes you want to the suggestions thread, that way the whole community and myself can put in our input without clogging this thread.
Powers are fine.

ill think about it for teleportation. It hasnt actually been used in game to my knowledge, so maybe wait until then.
Visual projection is an extremely passive ability, though should understandably be difficult to do. So ill think on that too.

nothing is restricted to rank?
and the factions pretty active. I saw 6 on the other day, 7 including an enslaved

Every time I have been lead I have been explicitly told not to try to be an ic lead of the faction. I am here simply to manage it, not to gather all the vortigaunts to do my bidding.
So basically, you are a faction lead that can't play in the faction you are leading? ok this is not possible, i'm sending you a message.

This here will be the basis for if your Vortigaunt can use an ability or not. This whole system should work rather smoothly, and should be easy to explain.

How do I learn an ability?
There's a few ways to learn an ability. You can learn it yourself through meditation, or you can be taught it from an elder Vortigaunt that has already learned the ability. If it is learned through self meditation, logs must be sent to myself through a forum PM. If an elder vortigaunt teaches an ability to a vortigaunt, they (or the vortigaunt being taught) must send me their meditation logs through the means above. This worked well last time I implemented it and that was with a larger faction population, so I don't expect it to be any less effective here.
Keep in mind meditation is incredibly free form, there's no real format or anything for it. Try to grasp the ability in whatever way you feel would make sense. I don't mind how meditation is done as long as it looks good. Same goes for teaching powers.

Will Kooby actually be able to read every meditation log sent his way?
Yes, I have no life, don't worry.
If I ever decide to implement a co lead they would also be able to approve meditation logs, so there's that too.

Do I have to do this?
It will make the system much easier to track and keep up with, so if you plan on using your powers, yes.

What am I supposed to do with this thread?
You simply copy and paste the format below and adjust it according to your vortigaunts abilities. Like so:

Incapable (Usually used for shackled vortigaunts unable to use any ability)
Uneducated
Learning
Mastered


This is how a starting, unenslaved vortigaunts training log should look:
