What's new

General MPF discussion thread

mpf are too far away from the rebel pop to actually have interaction with them so they're going to stagnate in favor of the ota or the conscripts. idk how to even get to the city honestly
this is another issue too

c18 and i17 are successful because its borders are super simple and everything is easily distinguishable. they're fair for both factions
if you noclip up into the sky on either map, you can easily draw a line between D1-D2/MPF-Rebel territory

c8 is complex as fuck and its too damn big. the most important parts of the map like the plaza (if one even exists) are super small and there are too many sharp turns on every corner that can easily lead to a new player getting lost. then there's the issue of the number of different levels/layers everywhere.
i'd dread having to sweep rebel territory as if it's embarking on some massive expedition given the small amount of units searching a big ass space

My next priority is this violations system, however people have stopped talking about it entirely from my view so I'm not quite sure what you boys want from it. My current major thoughts are leave it as it is, reset to 12 point, but keep amputations =pk, or 12 point with 3/3 amps =pk.
imo getting amped should be pk. if you fucked up heavy and got that many points in the first place ur character should be a goner; the 3/3 pk was hardly enforced or never happened from my experience

Want something done in the mpf? Notice a rule that was out of date or unwritten? Have a minor suggestion, but don't think it's worth a full suggestion?
Post below.
Oh and uh, enforcing a curfew would be cool, a part of the day where citizens should be forced to their assigned apartment, speaking of which, this apartment thing where you aren't assigned and have to pay is big dumb, there should be 4-5 citizens assigned to an apartment at the UCH, 2-3 assigned to an apartment at the Metropol, and 1-3 at the Loyalist housing, homelessness should not be an issue, as all the paying thing does is take up space for players that aren't on 24/7, meanwhile there are some new players that can't passive to in their apartment cause they don't have one, it's really, really dumb seeing prop filled UCH rooms and never seeing the owners get on or go in them when they are on, reserve the pay factor for the Loyalty housing, also, why don't we capitalize and make people live at the penalty housing, it's there for a reason, it's gonna be less guarded, it's for the bad Bois, you can cover the the ladder to the sewers, and leave the vent open in the shop next to it, plus the beach entrance they have, leave that open as well

I mean, didn't we at one point discuss having a urban warfare map for CMRP. Could have a little uprising event and say i17 is in ruin. Union move forces to and bunk with the Connie's and the rebels run around in city ruins with relative freedom. Dark zone esc city with the beach n shit being union territory where the loyalists can do their shit out there 🤔

Of course there's much more thought and policy that'd need to go into the idea to make it functional but thought it's worth pitching the idea if it gets the gears turning.

Noone took interest when we did it on CMRP so I'm doubtful to how well it would work.

The map was also less than favourable for basically everyone. The conscript base was two intersecting hallways with rooms off to the side and at the ends. The map didn't really provide any locals for roleplay. So map was a large portion of the problem all on its own and there was no reason to venture out and a lot of people didn't like the map/didn't know it and didn't wanna check it out in Singleplayer.
