internally i think weekly evals per division should be a thing again
in the past they worked well with connecting the ground units to HC in a sense that HC is capable of assessing the division on a larger scale and evaluating those who are skilled. if people don't have an opportunity to rank up, they're not gonna play

i get they may be time consuming or annoying to host on a weekly schedule but between the multiple members of a HC, one of them should be able to host em and swap turns
I’ll be starting to do some UNION evals as well. I’ll just have to get a set time each week to do it.

Once we get more 01s/ branch leads for UNION, I’d try to push for them to do evaluations for their branches as well.

I personally don't see evals as a useful tool in the slightest but that's just like, my opinion, man. C8 was an awful map to switch to and I'm actually a bit baffled that it was chosen. The city is way too small, and the fact is, we will ICly be obliged to try to stop anti-citizens from doing anti-citizen things in their areas.

Opchan definitely got something right with have more ways to reward units other than promotions and saying 'good job', but that's already been addressed.

Shifting off of C8 to a map that isn't absolute dogshit is a must but I feel like that'll be an undertaking that upsets a good number of people even if it helps us solve some of our dilemmas that we're currently facing. This isn't a solution that's exactly on you however since it would require going over things with the rest of the staff team.

I think at least part of this slump is that we're still celebrating. Some people are still spending time with their families (crazy right?) and some people are prepping for a big New Year's get together. I think we'll see a general uptick in activity once we're past the 1st.

mpf are too far away from the rebel pop to actually have interaction with them so they're going to stagnate in favor of the ota or the conscripts. idk how to even get to the city honestly

That’s what people said about C18 in Maroon era CRP
But I specifically recall that being one of the best rebel RPs I’ve seen bc resistance got smart.
Set up tripwires, used grenades, used the small spaces to their advantage

in some case you'd be right in the idea that most evals (from my experience) typically pit units up to doing jack shit, like some handmade breach simulation or riot control

the point wasn't to teach and learn, as most were aware that the shit they were doing probably wouldn't ever be applicable in a real scenario, however to give the leadership an idea of which units stood out to evaluate/rank up accordingly in said evaluation session.
overall point of it was to keep the division active, as nobody wants to stay at a low rank so they have an opportunity to get out. if division aint active, division dies and mpf slowly dies

and yea city 8 is awful

I feel like the whole point of evaluations isn't to teach people, instead it's to show people that they aren't doing shit right. Back in 2015/16 CRP evals were uncommon and were only really a thing when there were large amounts of people doing stuff incorrectly.

All in all, they should be less frequent, unless it's for GRID and they're just looking at current projects ect.

i used to run evals weekly as union dvl with my hc back in like 2016, once i hit cmd i made them a weekly occurrence for all 3 divisions
it was successful for the most part until the sec (medi) transfered over to CMRP, wherein crp lost its head subsequently went to shit

and ur right, a lot of evals were because people weren't doing things right. from what i remember a lot of evals were reactionary to a situation that went terribly wrong. can't remember much but for instance if units don't know how to organize themselves in D1, they'd be taught through procedure and leadership among said GU's attending

Also, boys, since I'm going to be getting back to my standard activity this week, talk to me if you disagree with something I did or am doing. I keep seeing all this back channel shit, just come to me. I'm not set in my ways and am always changing, but if you don't give any feedback, I can't adapt.

Rewards write up will be finalized for public viewing by tomorrow night.

My next priority is this violations system, however people have stopped talking about it entirely from my view so I'm not quite sure what you boys want from it. My current major thoughts are leave it as it is, reset to 12 point, but keep amputations =pk, or 12 point with 3/3 amps =pk.

3/3 amps =pk worked the best imo
