Suggestion: Diseases.

Simple as that really, people in D2 hide down there for days on end, with no gasmasks/protection, in a literal sewer, y'all should be getting diseases. Since we don't have immunisations and or flu shots.

Would encourage 'webuls' to get to D1 for a while, passive, and allow for those with gasmasks and who pay for filters to be immunized. probably allowing a new market for gasmasks and whatnot.

And also my man, what type of diseases are to be made? The cold? The flu?

What would these diseases do?
How much would they hurt you scripting wise?
How could it be cured?
Can it wear off with time, or only scripts?
If it wears off just with time, do you need to be fed and hydrated for this to be in effect?
If you can take medications, would it degrade withing a time span, or be instant healing?
Can you MAKE medications?
Can you DIE from them just by script?
How could we make players roleplay having a disease? (Forced /me's?)

Also one more thing, can you get diseases from BAD food items? (Mainly food poisioning?)

I want these all answered before I make a +support or -support

and these all seem complicated on paper, but in gameplay it's just be hydrated and fed, and just buy meds possibly...

Basically I am saying fuck just making it some shitty gasmask thing; Make it an actual incentive to be healthy, and perhaps a new medic use :)

I would honestly prefer disease/sickness over gas.
okay but if we do it and people will require gasmasks in the sewers aswell as filters then there needs to be a system to obtain/repair/refill filters since bmds are non existant atm besides me and Scav which is barely on his char atm

I think it would probably be more of a medical mask/medication thing but I'm sure crafting stuff would be added.

sickness is dumb because no one rp's it, like hunger
This, generally no one will RP that they're sick and they'll presumably just go to the CMU or even a officer "i need antitode" and bingo bongo they're good

Either way I think it's still a pretty good idea, but it just seems like it wont go at all as planned

On one server I played on, practically the entire city got infected by something with the disease plugin and went to the CMU.
It was a decent little event that wasn’t really caused by the admins, and it would have ended well with good medrp if the CA didn’t order OTA to exterminate all in the CMU and burn the bodies.

Which, ended up causing a massive riot/uprising in the end lmao

I don’t think it should damage. At least in the second plugin I linked, it just has your character cough/ and have blurry vision, etc. Nothing too damaging health wise


EDIT: The first plugin I linked is a much more immersive framework that we could use to code in our own diseases. (It already comes with two, like the cold)
