Why not make it have two different abilities, left click is a 100 dmg, no animation, allows you to move while shooting, and 1 second cast time beam, while right click is the one we have now, but beam is louder.

In other words, buff it even further because it STILL goes through armor, making vortigaunts S2K machines.
I don't like it.
 
vort beam is only good at range otherwise vort gets merced, this change would make vorts absolutely useless in S2K.
Vortiguants are support. If you think a single vortiguant is gonna be fine then you are wRONG. Vortiguants are glass cannons. But at some point, that cannon has to falter at longer ranges. Its an impact based weapon. People claim its electrical yet you see vortiguants blowing BACK zombies after killing them. Meaning, its gonna slow down at ranges, or weaken. Doing 500 damage is extreme to begin with, but as soon as you begin to do 500 at /any/ range is dumb

Vortigaunts are support, but that doesn't mean you make them useless, a connie who walks around a corner to 3 vorts still has about 3 seconds to shoot each one in the head to kill them, bro, you are just making the vort beam beyond fucking nerfed it would be SOOOOOOOO fucking bad. Your idea would work if you could walk while firing, wait time was 1 second instead of 3, and max dmg was about 150-200

You have a point, the range may be a bit OP. But if you actually use the swep yourself you'd knew how hard it is to hit a moving target, especially if it's firing back at you. I don't think the range should be changed, but could it perhaps be possible that the beam has a chance of impacting a bit different from where you aim. Like firing weapons, they don't shoot their bullets straight from larger ranges.

To be honest, what if Vorts would have more rules added to them. We don't necessarily need to be nerfing the entire swep. Rather make more restrictions to it, that way both players will have an OP swep. But also a few restrictions along with it.

If you think a few rules are gonna be stopping people from abusing the 500 damage laser of death, you are mistaken.

That plugin doesn't work, i even did a thread about it when i used to play on cmrp, here.

also, even the owner of the plugin says that it's not recommended to use on multiplayer.
